Paul Maynard a design teacher from Nottingham applied for a nationwide draw at the Nottingham Castle Food and Drink Festival and was picked at random from thousands of entries.
The prize was offered by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Mr Maynard was thrilled to win.
Visiting his local RBS branch in Nottingham to collect the prize, he said: "I am so happy to have won this prize. We were so surprised when we found out as this is something that doesn’t happen often.

"Having had time to process it we really are very grateful to the Royal Bank of Scotland for helping us to save money.”
Stephen Lambert, area mortgage manager for Royal Bank of Scotland, said: "Paul entered the nationwide competition at the Nottingham Castle Food and Drink Festival where RBS was a sponsor and was picked at random from thousands of entries from across the country.
